Guidelines for mobile handheld electronic communication devices
- The use of mobile Handheld Electronic Communication Devices (MHECDs) is only allowed provided that permission is specifically granted by the school's Principal.
- Parents and Guardians wishing to allow their charges (students) to carry MHECDs to school or to school related activities, must understand that such devices are the responsibility of their charges.
- (1) All MHECDs must be powered off before entering the school's compound and declared in the Administrative Office until the end of the school day.
- (2) Use of MHECDs is prohibited during school hours (7:55am - 2:15pm) and during examination, where confidential matters are being conducted, during the singing of the National Anthem, During religious Ceremonies.
- (3) MHECDs include:- cellphones, pagers, beepers, handheld computer devices with wireless communication capabilities (PDA's, Palm Pilots, IPAD's, Tablets), specialized discrete mobile devices for downloading games and music (IPods, Mp3 players, etc.), Digital Cameras, Camcorders.
